The 39th Annual Kurt Bestor Christmas returns to the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City this December: four performances, including a matinee. Tour dates are added throughout the year; the full schedule always lives at kurtbestor.com/tour.

Beyond December, Kurt has recently appeared with a Celtic ensemble in Logan, premiered The Redeemer in Las Vegas, and scored The Secret Garden Ballet in Ogden, a reminder that the Christmas tradition is one chapter in a much longer season of live work. New dates are announced throughout the year.

“A recording finishes when you press stop. A concert finishes when a room finishes it together.”

Live & Storytelling

What the Stage Adds to the Song

Kurt writes for the studio, but he builds for the room. Between pieces, he tells the stories behind the music: where a melody came from, who it was written for, what it still means thirty years later. It's the same tradition, told a little differently each year.

The Christmas run at the Eccles is the anchor, a night families return to on purpose. The rest of the season carries that same instinct to orchestras, choirs, and dance companies from Ogden to Las Vegas.
